Research Committee
A research committee is formed annually at the AGM. Members meet most months to prepare articles for inclusion in the Society's journal Local Colour which is produced biannually. The theme for each edition of the journal usually follows the themes of Heritage Week (April) and History Week (September). Detailed articles are researched and written by members of the research committee for publication in these journals.
The current research being undertaken is that of articles relating to Threads for History Week and, as recipients of a grant from Placenames Australia, we are looking at name changes in the Hornsby area from 1886 to 1906.
